Whoa... this thing plays like a blaxploitation flick. Muggs can do it all man... the gritty to the smooth shit. Roc sounds ill over the production. Dolph Lundgren? Whoa. Running errands in the red McLaren blarin’ Gil Scott-Heron? Ridiculous.

Fantastic. It might sound ignorant, with the classic Cypress Hill and Soul Assassins material under his belt and all that stuff, but this joint and the first of the two Meyhem joints (the name escapes me right now...its got the gold whitejesus holding 2 teks) really catapulted Muggs for me. I'm done sleeping on him.
Roc Marciano is a better rapper than Planet Asia. The question of Roc Marciano being better than Lupe is a different and more prickly issue for me. I'm leaning toward no, but I try not to separate musical output from lyrical skill when I evaluate a rapper.
We listen to songs, not acapellas so I don't know (nor do I care to know) how the rhymes would affect me if the music wasn't there. However, though Roc Marciano's music is far superior to Lupe's on a whole I still lean towards saying that Lupe is superior in rapping ability.
Since Drogas Wave just came out I guess a comparison of their recent albums could be relevant. I would say Drogas Wave is clearly better than any Roc Marciano album other than Marcberg. I would need more time to decide if Drogas Wave is in the same league (or possibly superior?) to Marcberg.

But I'd also say he's the most limited of the three, content wise. So I wouldn't argue against anyone saying Lupe and PA are better. I'd rather listen to Roc's albums though.

As a technician, Lupe is a better rapper. I like Roc’s albums more, he makes the better overall product. If there were no music, I THINK I would still find Roc to be the more enjoyable listen.
That’s not to take away anything from Lupe, he’s a genius at putting words together that rhyme - the art form at its most basic. And that might seem silly, but take someone like LL. He’s got great songs but the most basic aspect, the puttting words together... forget super crazy patterns he’s not even really good at multis. Lupe on the other hand, has shit like Mural... who else can do that? Royce, Pharoahe, Elzhi, Thought... you understand what I’m saying.
Lupe is also great at crafting verses that have substance, and like it or not... creating singles that appeal to a larger, mainstream, popular audience.
Not saying Roc can’t do the mainstream joint. It just doesn’t seem to be something he’s interested in creating.

anddddd...yep, good as fuck. I honest to God played "The E Train" FIVE times before I could go to the next track. That "duh, duh, duh...guitar lick" thing that hits about every 20 seconds or so....damn, Muggs is ridiculous.

Aunt Bonnie might be the hardest song I've heard this year. The guitar outro on Aunt Bonnie that turn into the beat for Rolls Royce Rugs is mean as fuck.
Wild Oats was my favorite after my first listen. But I'm really feeling Wormhole today. The beat has a chaotic energy that reminds me of Glaciers of Ice. Then Muggs gives the beat heads a free beat at the end of Wormhole.
