"The Heliocentrics" Tue Sep-18-18 10:08 AM by hip bopper
I looked and I really didn’t see anyone mentions these guys.
Named after the Sun Ra album The Heliocentric Worlds of Sun Ra, this collective band takes on the comic sound from him. They are funky, jazzy, trippy, and psych.
If you have heard their stuff what are your thoughts on them?

Malcolm Catto's resume outside of the group is incredible too. His work with The Soul Surfers, Hannah Williams, Yussef Kamaal, DJ Shadow, Vanishing Twin, Madlib... it's all incredible stuff!
He played drums on Madlib's 'Funky Blue Note' on Shades of Blue.
