"Serengeti: Dennis 6e - The Final Kenny Dennis Album"

Produced by Andrew Broder (Fog). Way moodier and sadder, but contains brilliance like this line:

"Tom Selleck was supposed to be Indiana Jones.
I'm not supposed to be living here all alone."

It's seemingly irrelevant pop culture trivia delivered in a funny accent, that gets flipped into a heartbreaking confession. It's the sort of magic trick that no one pulls off better than Serengeti.

This guy is my favorite.

He did "Dennehey" at Pitchfork during Open Mike Eagle's set and it reminded me how awesome this guy is.

This one is a lot darker than the other Kenny Dennis albums.

There's a little screen play or something with it: http://dennis6e.com/

Don't know if it adds much to the music, or is even worth reading for anyone else. But sort of interesting to see how he spins out all the storylines.

At the end Kenny is just ranting alone in his apartment, and that's definitely how the album sounds.

Probably my favorite release from Serengeti over the last couple of years. Pretty crazy how well he developed this Kenny Dennis character. He almost feels more comfortable rapping as KD than as Serengeti. This album is gonna stay in rotation for a while.

Serengeti is a niche listen but he really is the first rapper that comes to mind when I think of 21st century Hip Hop hidden gems. His catalog is crazy and his sound is unique. Hope this isn't really the final chapter but I'll continue supporting whatever direction he goes in
