"No one is talking about Astroworld on here?"
It's got some songs on it. I like Astrothunder with Thundcat a lot. Sounds like UTQC era Flylo. I'm a big Kevin Parker fan - Skeletons is a nice song. I like the Frank and Nav features. Coffee Bean and Yosemite are good. Though Stop Trying to be God is really the only song I like Travis on.
I think Scott is a great producer, I would probably like this album a lot more if it was an instrumental album. I'm not big on Travis as a vocalist.
But damn if he doesn't create great sounding tracks.
...and I'm generally not a fan of this subgenre, but this album is some of the best music I've heard in a while.
I like the combo of him and Mike Dean. They make some really clean, complex and layered tracks. This is some nuanced, sophisticated stuff musically. I like how Travis uses his own vocals, and others as an instrument.
The Houston homages are the icing on the cake. I can go on and on...

be a perfect song. He can rap over the part with no drums at the end if he wishes.

...some of which have been more mainstream fare, which i'm just noticing
i remembered thinking this when i heard "birds in the trap" and i felt it again upon bumping astroworld: TS as a rapper doesn't work as well w/o TS the producer for me. He reminds me of Kanye as an overall arranger, as somebody who has interesting ideas for song structure and musical switches and changeups
