If you didn't get my e-mails I sent on April 30th, let me know and I'll resend it, it was sent to you directly, not on FB or Twitter. I e-mailed you directly. It has to do with The Roots performing in Portland on July 21st, which is now under a month. I can make my request again.
EDIT: I just found out the concert is now sold out.
Armie Hammer "White Boys/Black Boys" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6JCCayPG7k REASON: He's in a play called STRAIGHT WHITE MEN and I focus on the lines: "White boys are so pretty Skin as smooth as milk White boys are so pretty Hair like Chinese silk"
I suggested this for someone before so I'll try it again.
Rupi Kaur The Emotions' "Flowers" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbcbOFM4tFQ REASON: Her recent book is called THE SUN & HER FLOWERS. I could've went everywhere from Fishbone's "Black Flowers" to New Birth's "Wildflowers" but I'll stick with The Emotions.

Why? Hammer next makes his Broadway debut in Straight White Me. (Leaving that Pete Rock and Das Efx on the table.) Change to "Straight Up White Men" (With the mistake.)
-- Meghan Trainor

Amy Adams Beat Happening's "Red Head Walking" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpTlbnUKhS8 REASON: I'll never give up with this song. Even when your time ends on Fallon, I want it played during the last week but until then, I'll keep pushing for it.
Rob Reiner Public Enemy's "Don't Believe The Hype" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vQaVIoEjOM REASON: His recent interviews have been about the media having to do with what's going on in DC. Plus, since this will air on the 30th anniversary of ITANOMTTUB, it's perfect time. Or do your own "False Media".

Lakeith Stanfield Yall So Stupid's "85 South" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCdYIAustq0 REASON: He's in ATLANTA and I focus on one of my favorite albums from 1993 that remains overlooked. FIrst lines: "I'm living in Atlanta but I ain't no hick Step back 'fore I slap you with my afro pick Crazy light in the ass but the shit I drop is heavy I talk more shit than jive turkeys in the 70's"
In my first and only visit to Atlanta 23 years ago, I wanted to go into Decatur so bad because of Yall So Stupid but the lady I was with seemed to not like anything or anyone "of color" and I'm thinking "you do know what I am, right?"
Why? He's in Boot's Riley's "Sorry to bother you" which is a bout a man who makes telephone calls. (Frankly I'm just tickled by the thought oh this being played by anyone at all on TV in 2018.)
Why: The opening sample/adlib "um, um, excuse me um" plays well with the name of his film 'Sorry To Bother You,' which also delves into some racial satire that may work with this song, too. Can't wait to see this.
