Production-wise Kanye and his team still got it. Cudi does that Cudi blend of rap, kinda singing, and humming that sounds great here.

I wonder how that scrapped Kanye album sounded. It is possible that it was much better than the Ye we got. Dude is still a machine when it comes to dope sampling.

This is great alternative hip hop. Wile I felt like Ye needed a strong single to pull his thoughts together (maybe thats "Never Leave?"), and a longer run time, Kids see ghosts ad daytona really benefit from this 7 song treatment. There's so many good songs here, I really think this might survive and make top ten in best of year lists.

I just don't get what y'all get so excited about. Man these songs sound like shit for the most part, but Cudi is the worst part of every song. I can't effing try to like this mess anymore.
Ye actually speaks to me, real emotion, focused songs. Great use of minimalism to bring out the power in parts. This is just a mess to me.
And who the fuck thinks Cudi can sing AT ALL. Holy shit his voice is obnoxious. I don't need thirty layers of nasal crooning and humming looped.
