I never stopped liking him, I just couldn’t keep up and gave up. But I LOVED Cigarette Boats. Recently a song from that played when I had my phone on shuffle in the car, and I was blown away all over again.

Spittas flow is so on point on that project and the beats are next level. It was a nice surprise when it dropped too, because he put out Stoned Immaculate earlier in the week (which was disappointing) and CB dropped a few days later.
This new one is really good but I don’t think it can compare to the original.

That's the thing about being a good lyricist: you can always have a second wind or a new great project because ultimately you'll always have the CHANCE to say some new shit in a cool new way. If you catch a new producer or new wave, you good.
This is why Black Thought is having the best individual run of his career despite being at the game for 20 years. He can rap.
Jay-Z makes mostly awful albums now but he'll always get a spin because ultimately Jay can rap.
Curren$y is entirely style and mood. He is not a very good rapper. And the when the act wears thin, he's sorta done.
