"What innovation(s) would you like to see in music or music tech?"
Better wireless audio quality? FLAC as the default standard for streaming services?
Or on a musical tip, are you waiting for someone to make a modern version of boom bap or incorporate hip-hop / EDM production techniques in a live show?
I just copped an LG V30 and it has souped up audio quality for headphones. My headphones aren't great but the hardware does improve the listening experience. I wish more cellphones went about creating aural experiences like this LG does.
Tidal's option for FLAC as an option for HD listening is a good idea. But I wish Spotify incorporates that as an option in the future.

I would really like to see Hip Hop incorporate live instruments. Hip Hop has such hold on pop culture that kids don't know the difference between a beat maker and a producer. And hip hop's sounds in general has become very one dimensional and that's definitely because of the lack of instruments.
Apple needs a 10 band graphic EQ for all of its IOS devices. And that EQ needs to be able to control the sound for the entire device. For example, if you use one of their EQ presets in the music app. That setting has no effect to the sound if you're using Tidal/Spotify/Youtube/Pandora. Apple also needs to fix iTunes Match. iTunes Match automatically replaced my Instrumental ver of Frank Zappa's "Sleep Dirt" w/ the vocal ver....which I do not like. iTunes Match also changed like 500 songs artists name to Pat Metheny.
It's 2018 and I can't understand why all artists are not releasing projects w/ digital booklets. I get the low cost thing for sure, but it will play into the "superfan" group that every single artist has regardless of genre.
2. "on the music side I think there will be a run of sampling African music" In response to Reply # 0
every few years a new sound/sampled genre pops up in hip hop...right now afrobeats is gaining popularity in the US (which, by & large, is the final indicator of a sound taking off globally outside of the originating country) but I think we're going to see someone like Kanye eventually having an album visiting sounds/samples from older african music. drums, rhythms, etc.
There was a hint of it when he put out love lockdown, but I think there's a goldmine of samples that go way beyond the Fela stuff that's been used before

Using it while multitasking on the phone is just one benefit. No commercials on any platform, Google Play being included, streaming on all my TVs, etc.
I have plenty of other streaming content I use but YouTube Red would be the LAST thing I'd cancel.
13. "you can do that now without Red" In response to Reply # 4
as long as you don't cut off the screen.

Most true wireless headphones come with charging cases, so that it excellent for extending the battery life. But if you had a long day of travel at the airport and on flights, you really need the continuous listening battery life to be longer than the 3-5 hours that most offer.
There are larger bluetooth headphones with longer life, but none of the true wireless buds. Just a matter of time until the tech gets there.

- Streaming/Cloud service for DJs (including DJ specific breaks)
- A Mac or PC addition that allows you to use computer more intuitively as an instrument
- Fly Travel gear (leather, suede etc) for people who travel with laptops, midi devices etc..
- Battery life forever
- HDs that don't die

I wish a MPC software had a direct chop option where you can play a sample in the record screen and then press a pad for the part you want to chop. That way you can a) have the sample chopped already and b) the chops are already on the pad bank you want them on.

but I really want to. It'd be dope to have an in-box machine that could do that as an option.
