Like everyone else the video caught my attention, I liked the music, but wasn't sure how I'd feel about it without the visuals.

Threw it on the playlist, it came on, and yeah....it worked haha.

i enjoyed the music a lot while watching the video and it gets stuck in your head. i saw the SNL performance of it and was not impressed, the vocals sounded awkward. i would think that was due to it being a performance.

need to get the song on a playlist.

Hopefully it's slotted well in a cohesive album...but that's never been his strong suit, so I doubt it.

That's why the video is so important, the song isn't meant to be anything if you ask me, it's the video that the key element to making this song what it is.

I wonder if he visually had an idea what this song was going to be while writing and recording it or did he just chose a song at random to fit what he wanted to portray in a video?

at the end of the year when it makes all of the liberal white bloggers' year-end list think pieces, we'll all forget it's mostly just a banger with barely any lyrics.

Video is flawless.

The song is just another lame trap song, nothing but a pieced together commercially algorithmic designed hit but visually it's very powerful in meaning but it's visual isn't thought through but very calculated to be controversial while overhyped in my opinion.

i do not get the hype around glover generally or this song/video, but i've accepted that's because i pay zero attention to contemporary music. the kids seem to like it, so i'll take their word for it.
