I know EVERYONE loves "It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back" and it has classic songs all over it but to me I didn't like all the songs on it, some songs were okay while the others were crazy dope, I've listened to their 2nd album first, then their first album "Yo! Bum Rush The Show" a month after the 2nd was released back then.

I gotta say "Fear Of A Black Planet" doesn't have a lot of hits but to me it's the more cohesive album that I can listen to from beginning to end, unlike "ITANOMTHUB" which I ended up making my own cassette without the songs I didn't like such as: "Don't Believe The Hype", "Caught, Can We Get A Witness", "Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos", & "Party For Your Right To Fight".

Every classic album always have at least one weak or lame song on it, I use to listen to a lot of hip-hop for mad years and I can easily spot the bland songs on an album.

I guess I'm the only person bold enough to admit to people with a straight face cause I mean what I say, I say what I mean.

So it beats everything. This isn't a knock to "Fear..." which is in rarified air itself. But, c'mon man, everything loses to "Nation."

It's the only album other than Thriller and Purple Rain, where it felt like EVERY song on the album was a single at some point.

I've listened to It Takes a Nation of Millions but I came of age on hip-hop around the time of FOABP and I prefer those songs.

ITANOM is a great album but between 911 is a Joke, Welcome to the Terrordome, Who Stole the Soul, Burn Hollywood Burn, I'm good with Fear of a Black Planet.

BP hit when I was in 9th grade and getting into real rap for the first time, so it'll always be my favorite. But like Hood said, Nation is unfuckwitable.
