... videos are fun .. some of the songs are killer.. too many tracks in a row get's played out quick yes.. but I'm a long time fan of down tempo and pitch wrenching...
for example I forget who it was but one of you hipped me to this DJ Screw remix of Street Military's Dead In a Year when I was looking for a lit of Dirge-Hop tunes.... lol lost this and found it again:

like captain murphy but the rapping is worse and the beats are homogeneously mucky. SMT kind of took the spaceghostpurrp sound and ran with it but kept running into the same wall over and over
I dig SPG in fact it was the same dirge-hop ask that got me hipped to him... maybe I still got more to learn on him because I'm not quite seeing what your saying... as for SMT it's the beats and the pitch bending more than the lyrics for me.. I totally get what your saying about those.

the first tape instrumentals were slow and syrupy and then they got more complex/noisy on later tapes? i'll have to revisit some songs
the whole "mysterious masked man" persona of SMT rubbed me the wrong way, and the lyrics. i envisioned some edgelord white teen from park lake, IA pitch shifting his voice to sound like something he wasn't. not into it

edgelord ish.. I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't make a difference to me if it were true... it'd make all the difference.. one reason I made the poast was to see if anybody knew something about who he is

Paper Platoon definitely should get more industry work. Their production style fits just about everybody that's currently rotating on the radio and in clubs. Their merging of samples with trap and screwed music is on point.
