"tUnE-YaRdS “I can feel you creep into my private life”"

I remember The Lesson liking Nikki Nack.
Her new one goes, the songwriting is once again ridiculously good.
Need to give it a few more listens, but probably my favorite thus far.

on her new one. I need to dissect the lyrics & layers more, first listens I've been mainly overwhelmed by the richness of the sounds & vocal gymnastics. Unsurprisingly & ironically (or not) some reviews (like P4K) say the content isn't up to par.

"is she not white? A lot of the perspectives she presents seem to come from a non-white perspective (eg "don't tell me you don't judge by the skin" or something like that). made me think of her last album and the line "worst part about living a lie, is just wondering when they'll find out". "Left Behind" on this one sounds like it's about native rights. So many questions."

the beats are good, i dont get anything else lol

might just not be for me. ill let the songs come on in shuffle and see if i like anything.

I was BLOWN THE FUCK AWAY.

I remember The Lesson talking about them and I was meaning to check out their first two LPs.

Merrill’s voice shook the whole damn theater.

I think I shed a tear during Powa.
