The Hill Castle Apartments were in the Lakeside neighborhood of Oakland. Even in pre-gentrified Oakland of the mid-'90s, it was NOT a place to be selling crack. You would get busted.

"...when you're stroking them from Fremont?" (c) Dres dissing MC Hammer.

Piedmont was a really rich neighborhood inside the Oakland city limits that basically split off and became its own city so it wouldn't have to deal with the "riff-raff." Definitely not "fly" by any stretch of the imagination.

Fremont was a suburb about 20 miles south of Oakland where Hammer bought his infamous mansion. Another way Dres was saying that Hammer wasn't real.
