Like KRIT or Nick Grant, if he put some more projects out I'd throw Bas in there too, I thought that dude Raury was pretty dope but I have to look for information on him, all the lil's from the trap scene get thrown in ya face whether you want to know about 'em or not
I always wonder if we're using "underrated" in place of "not popular enough" cuz there's not one person on your 10 I consider underrated, I dont know man, I guess it goes hand in hand really but I say a cat like Blu is underrated compared to those guys just for being lesser known.

They weren’t underrated at the time, but I don’t really ever hear them mentioned anymore as some of the nicest of their era.
I think someone like Phonte, who made his name post 2000, is underrated in the sense that while many loved him and think he’s dope, you don’t really hear him put in the same breath as the 80’s-90’s legends by that same crowd that loves him.

Both of these kats can rap obviously but in the past ten years the music they release be some of the worst shit I've heard from them in their entire career and they keep making more wack shit, sometimes it's best to retired making albums if you ain't got any dope shit to put out or just stick to the old school concerts and shit.

I'm assuming, you mean folks that tend to listen to radio and consume only Jay Z, drake or whomever is popping at the moment.
we all know the greatest talk tends to follows sales figures. we all know that sucks when talking about rap skills. usually underrated is just like saying such and such didn't consistently sell plat.

I would say he is under-appreciated, especially by certain Roots stans who seem to worship ?uestlove unconditionally and don't give that same love to Thought.
