"Give Me Your Top 15 Non-Classic Hip-Hop Joints"

Obviously classic is subjective but I think we all know what is considered and not considered a classic here.

I don't want to see Shook Ones Pt 2 on your list.

Shit, I don't want to see Wrong Side of the Tracks on your list.

I want those more obscure, non-singles joints that you feel get no shine.

GO!

Like, I would put Ego Trippin Pt. 2 here, but it was a single with a video, but not necessarily a hit, and not universally considered a classic.

I'll have to collect my thoughts. I'll be back.

While not necessarily my *TOP* 15, it was the first 15 I thought of...

Gemini Da Gifted One - Brooklyn Kids
Jaz-O - Love Is Gone
Trigga da Gambler - Bust
Constant Deviants - Catch da Speedknots
Jedi Mind Tricks - Exertions (RMX)
Big Kap & Da Ladies - Da Ladies In Da House
The Fam-Lee - Runs In The Fam-lee
J-Live - School's In
ED O.G. - Bettathanbefore
N.O.R.E. - Full Mode
CRU - Pronto
Brother Ali - Fajr
Tha Marxmen - Here Today, Gone Tomorrow
Rob-O - Wunderlust
Deadly Venoms - One More To Go

You're such pests...now, what is it you want? In your depths of your ignorance, what is it you want? Well, whatever it is you want, I can't deliver because I just don't see it. - Orson Welles

Wow, apparently it's obscure enough to not be on youtube.

Recommend playing at stupid loud volumes on the highway. Love the whole album but this track doesn't get old.

Jean Grae-Don't Rush Me (the perfect "everyday life" song.)

Joe Budden-Dreamerz (One of Joe's records about a miscarriage and the relationship dwindling because of it, with a killer (3+ minute) guitar section at the end.)

Talib Kweli-Lonely People (I'm so glad Talib performs this at shows, even tho it's technically unreleased.)

Cee-Lo-Evening News (My favorite DJ Premier joint....which sounds nothing like a Primo joint.)

Fort Minor (Feat. Lupe Fiasco & Ghostface Killah)-Spraypaint & Inkpens (Storytime Greatness. Absolute shame this didn't make an album.)

Nas (Feat. Blitz)-Every Ghetto (The song makes me feel paranoid and sad, and I'm not sure why because internally I know it's just another random verse Nas song.)

Kid Cudi (Feat. Cage & St Vincent)-MANIAC (I had a couple weird dreams because of this record, and it introduced me to St Vincent.)

Evidence-Chase The Clouds Away (My favorite "everything is gonna be okay" record. Only complaint is when Ev put out the intrumentals to the album....THIS IS THE ONLY BEAT HE LEFT OFF OF IT. sigh...)

Elzhi-Love It Here (My 2nd favorite song from my hometown (Fall In Love by Slum Village is #1) and it feels the way it felt growing up in Detroit.)

Jadakiss-By Your Side (Jada just create magic around the sample, mixing actual jewels with typical Jada rap shit. I always laugh at Jada saying if he dies to take his son to the Gucci store and show him the Loafs.)

Jay-Z-Hovi Baby (Jay at the peak of balancing the ignorant nigga Hov and international Hov and Just Blaze synths. I can't find it, but they used this in the commercial for Blueprint 2, and I remember going crazy for it.)

Mickey Factz-Hulk Hogan & Crack (from Mick's Mickey Mause project making the 80s (which i was only a small child for) sound exciting and dangerous at the same time.

Missy Eliott (Feat. Space & Nicole)-Gettway (Buried near the end of Missy first album is 3 women doing a battle record with Timbaland beat-boxing during the time people wonder how he was doing it).

The Roots-Thought @ Work (Confession, I didn't pay attention to the Roots until this came out....then I worked backwards).

De La Soul-Verbal Clap (Dilla beat+De La raps=Wins everytime.)
