This list is dope. So many of my 2004-2005 memories are attached to Blast Radius. Def a lot here that I miss though

27. "Both Maspyke Albums Are Gems To Me" In response to Reply # 1
I remember hearing about them thru the two 12"s they put out one with Rawkus and the other with Deep Concentration, so when I searched found their first album "Blackout" on soundclick and was hyped, listened to the album and ended up buying a copy of the cd on amazon the same week.
I loved that album it was so fresh to hear hungry emcees and Roddy Rod's beats were so different; at the time I was so engulfed with anything SV/JD related and was on it quick but wanted something on that plane but not in the same crew and Maspyke was it.
It took 3 years for the next album "Static" to come out and I liked it too, too bad many people slept on another gem.

Another artist from the Tha Dogg Pound click that people slept on was Soopafly, I won't front I slept too but not much when "Dat Whoopty Woop" came out I skimmed thru the cd but didn't pay much attention, but when his second album "Bangin West Coast" dropped, I was like "whoa damn I've been sleepin' on Soopfly" and had to go back to "Dat Whoopty Woop" and bang that some for a while too.
Another thing that got me is that his production is dope too, kat can make some heat for reals.

Deep Water Slang still gets played to this day, but I felt like their peak really came with The Take Over. That album is so creative and colorful in so many ways. All of their stuff is quality though.

In my opinion that was a super slept on era in the grand scheme of things.
Some slept on albums to add to the list: - Johnson and Jonson - Wu Tang: 8 diagrams - Elp: I'll sleep when youre dead - K-OS: Atlantic Hymns of Disco (slept on in America at least) - amplive: rainy dayz radiohead remixes - Bun B: II trill
Listen to 8 diagrams now, I don't know how people hated on that one so much. Thats probably one of my favorite Wu Tang projects. I remember trying to buy Johnson and Jonson to support, but ended up downloading because I couldnt find a copy. I'll sleep when you're dead is el at his best. Classic one right there.
A lot of albums from that era I feel like weren't necessarily slept on since people acknowledged them, but don't get enough credit for how good they are.
Examples: Fishscale Grind date The first two Murs and 9th albums Felt 2 Atmosphere- you can imagine how much fun
Of course add in the mix the albums that get their respect: - donuts - Game Theory - all the doom stuff - all the madlib stuff - All things Little Brother - Blu and exile: below the heavens -Kweli: eardrum
