Of producers who have had biggest influence on the things I'm drawn to personally in music. So much of what I love about the hip hop I love can be drawn back to him. He's right next to Brian Eno in my Rushmore.

Nobody in Hip Hop has been better at conceptualizing the Hip Hop album, nailing the execution of ideas, or has done more to stretch the range of what was capable within that context.
He's a good betamaker but his talents as a visionary far outpace his skill in that department. We take him for granted but his resume is as good as anybody's.

Maybe I'm just a old school boom bap fan but when it comes to producers Prince Paul is maybe in my bottom 100 or maybe somewhere between 75 to 125, you think that's funny but it's a ton of hip-hop producers out there that made better shit than him.
Yeah I loved his idea of skits and I liked De La Soul first two albums (didn't care for their 3rd) and I did like "Psychoanalysis" while everything else is decent stuff but not music I go back to so often.
