Mahershala Ali
The Oscar winning actor joins Stretch and Bobbito to talk about his career as an MC, his process for getting into character, and how his faith informs his work.
Obviously, I liked the stuff about his music career and wanted to hear more.
I never really thought about the fact that he'd have played against Steve Nash for four years while he balled in college (Ali went to St. Mary's, Nash went to University of Santa Clara).
I also thought the stuff about how Hollywood doesn't view African Americans as transformative actors was realer than real.
10. "the show is good..but WAY too short.." In response to Reply # 9
....and i dont want to be too critical as they're just getting started, but at 30 mins, everything feels kinda rushed and very scripted ...a longer show would allow for a more natural conversation and flow....and thats where Stretch & Bob are really at their best ..The show has a LOT of potential tho
11. "aside from it being too short, it sounds like they're reading at times" In response to Reply # 10
it doesn't come off as a free flowing convo like Maron for example I'm not trapped in the 90's, I'm not expecting nor do I want 89tec9 pt. 2 just don't want it to sound like they're looking down at questions could just be early episode kinks
