Man, I've been ignoring this dude for the longest, I don't know if this was the place to start.
Man. . . basically, any negative thing I've heard about dude that kept me away seems to be on this album.
cover art game still on point lol nah, actually the corny skit running throughout that's supposed to hold together the concept of the album kind of ruins the whole thing.

Check out his Young Sinatra mixtapes. They were legit dope. Welcome to forever was probably the best one.
As far as his studio releases go.....Under Pressure was a great album from a pure talent standpoint. The dude can rap his ass off. His flows have gotten tighter and his delivery more direct on every release to this point. The only problem is on this album you really see the complaints that some people have with Logic as far as him being derivative. I don't really see the issue but the case can certainly be made.
I thought his best project was Incredible True Story and it's not even close. The production was fire. There were probably at least 6 or 7 really high quality tracks on there which is a rarity nowadays.
The thing with Logic is that people will say the dude is corny or whatever. I appreciate his perspective and his message and he's just a ridiculously talented rapper. I can relate to a lot of what he's saying. He's an everyman. I tend to fuck with those kinds of dudes more.
His latest album however was not very cohesive and I think he lost the intention of his message on this one in repetition and unsubtle reflection. I think the message needs to be out there and I respect what his take is and what he's been through but I just didn't feel like it was packaged where people who can't relate can take this in. Even people who can relate might get lost in some of this. It just felt frantic and rushed. There are some great tracks here but too many misses. I commend his efforts though. It took a lot of courage to do this shit.

Never really heard this cat. I'm loving this album. He has a Kendrick cadence. The beats are hitting hard tho - my god. plus the cameos - Black Thought, Chuck D, Killer Mike and fucking Neil deGrasse Tyson for most of the skits.

Can't deny it. It's dope. Have to admit I was turned off at first by him constantly reminding the listener that he is black(ok I get it you look white but you're black), but He's making some dope music.
