I think my point was just that rarely do albums with this level of writing, production, sequencing, mixing and mastering come out so it automatically, at least for me, will be in that album of year category.

How does it compare to his last two?

I LOVED Never Better but his last one only got one or two spins.

I liked at least half of WDELH a lot too

There's some trappy drums which initially feel disorienting to hear on a P.O.S album, but theres enough variation and weird synths/samples and what not around them that he makes it his own. Also if you haven't heard it, Sleepdrone/Superposition is easily one of my favorite rap songs of the past couple years. Never Better is a classic, but I really like all the tracks on this one.

I had only really heard him as producer before, and nothing stuck with me...but some of the tracks on this are so good.

I was a little disappointed by what I heard from his first rap album on stones throw, but I'll probably give it another chance.

The two eps listed above are good, but it sounds like this latest album is his best work as a rapper.

----
I check for: Serengeti, Zeroh, Open Mike Eagle, Jeremiah Jae, Moka Only.

I've never listened to anything by him so not sure how it compares to his other releases, but this is one of my favorites so far in 2017. Along with the backstory behind the album, the execution is great and I always have a soft-spot for cats who rap and make all/most of their beats.

I don't like the beat anymore because its just a loop. ALC didn't FLIP IT ENOUGH!

Flip it enough? Flip these. Flip off. Go flip some f*cking burgers.(c)Kno
