Last release, i remember a few people mentioning that he needs to release new material - this is that.
After one listen, I feel like this might be his magnum opus... it's an incredibly dense, complex record. He has stepped away from his usual jazz sample sources and started using more synths and original compositions (i'm guessing). None of the content sounds labored or boring, which is phenomenally impressive for a two hour instrumental record (with some 12 minute tracks in there).
I have no idea how he put this together on an MPC. Absolutely none. The last time I thought this was Shadow's first two records.
Listened to it once while at work, as soon as it finished INSTANT COP lol.
Album is phenomenal. First few tracks nothing immediately grabbed me... once I hit Plea Jargon, the album just took the fuck off and didn't slow down the entire rest of the way.
Current followed by Perpetual Purpose... 29 straight minutes of fire.
