This guy has Madvillain 2 AND Doomstarks in the stash somewhere. It's a shame we'll never get to actually hear those albums.

being released as a 45 for the nerds means that there's anything to really get excited about is beyond me. Madlib already put the whole thing on his Benji B mix 3 years ago.

Its even on YouTube ..been there for about 3 years http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snAe289ChyU&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Google it..I have a version broken up into individual tracks. It wasn't a secret..y'all just ain't real Madlib fans lol. It might be harder to get now that its been THREE YEARS though. I'm being a lil tounge in cheek BTW. Seriously tho..the song is raw and they need to make another MV album..but I think that ship has sailed.

>Are they still "Madvillain" or just Madlib and DOOM now?

I guess Stones Throw took down the video. So thinking Madvillain is owned by ST, and so that's why they have to say Madlib & DOOM?
I'm not holding my breath for the album - I think it's just a way to sell those new figures and make more $$$. I debated it for a moment, where as I wouldn't have if it was just the figure without the 45. Decided on a big "no".
Who knows.... the mystery continues.....

why won't they just tell you Egon and Madlib bounced off that sinking ship?

There is very little left to do there other than repackage Madvillain and Jaylib/Dilla records every holiday season.

The 45 and toy package is being sold by Madlib's Rappcats imprint label, not Stones Throw. Pretty interesting though that Stones Throw removed that Youtube video that was available.

Hmm.

Interesting.

but you have to give them some respect and props since they had a hand in releasing NxWorries this year.

It is very interesting they had a hand in pulling the video from Youtube since they aren't releasing the 45 and given the fact Madlib was the Stones Throw backbone at one point.

Very interesting.

Not as much now as I was late 90's through late 00's, but I still check for the label. The fell-off talk is overblown, imo.

Knxwledge, Nxworries, MNDSGN, Oh No, Karriem Riggins, Homeboy Sandman off the top are artists I'm a fan of and they're on ST dropping albums I like.

Long as he keeps dropping stuff with them, it's all good. And I still like Dam Funk.

PB Wolf has always said from the beginning that the label exists to release music that he personally enjoys. I might not like all of it, but as long as I get those four or five good albums they're good for each year, IDGAF.
