Production fits him better Album is way too long but I enjoyed it. 90059 is a better album to me but this'll get burn longer than the last Soulo project.
I think the more melodic tracks are better than the ones with the harder rapping. Ab-Soul can be the definition of fake deep though. And there's plenty of cringe-inducing bars are here... "In school I learned about his story never herstory..." when he thinks he's being deep talking about the Philosopher's stone and shit. It's much better when he's not doing that. His claims that the album is form women are a crock of shit. I think the second half of the album is much stronger than the first, so with a little more culling it would have been a better album. He's getting back on the right track after years of being off, but he's not all the way there yet.

I'm with the camp of those who didn't love These Days, but this is a vast improvement. Really finds its groove from "Threatening Nature" (word to Ras Kass) on.

I'm in the vast minority, it seems, of people who liked "These Days"...and I would give this a slight nod, right now. That's mainly because I haven't found a song on this one that I have to skip. "These Days" has two, that I flat out will not listen to. I think my standouts so far are Huey Knew THEN (sounds so much better on the album), INvocation, Beat the Case, D.R.U.G.S. and Lonely Soul.
