"If Nas: GOAT MC and Primo: GOAT producer"

then how come they haven't made the GOAT hip hop track?

We can argue day and night about who the GOATS are but for the purposes of this post let's agree that the subject is true
and obviously they haven't made any wack or even average tracks together (that's not even up for debate)

So we have:

NY State of Mind
Memory Lane
Represent
I Gave You Power
NY State of Mind Pt. 2
Nas Is Like
Come Get Me
2nd Childhood

Again, that's a hell of a list
But
Are any of them your # 1 song of all time?
Really think about it

Gun to my head I'll say NY State of Mind is the greatest song they ever did
but
The Symphony, Know The Ledge, Scenario, 93 til Infinity, T.R.O.Y >

...ever recorded? Seriously, is the difference in quality for you between, say, T.R.O.Y. and NY State of Mind, that huge to make any sort of deal about it?

Second, the logic is flawed. My personal five favorite hip-hop tracks are produced by Erick Sermon, RZA, 45 King, the Bomb Squad, and Larry Smith. They feature verses from Erick Sermon, Parrish Smith, Chuck D, Run, DMC, Chill Rob G, Raekwon, Ghostface, and Nas. I LOVE all of those producers and MCs, but I wouldn't list any of them as my favorite MC or producer of all time. Just like I wouldn't list "It's Been a Long Time," "New York (ya Out There)," or "When I Be On the Moc" as my favorite songs of all time. I can reconcile both.

NaS is a bum artist for the most part. Post Illmatic the argument seems to be from his hive that if you curate the best 12-20 songs from 120 you may have another classic. This is bum logic i refuse to entertain.

Because they're all beloved, classic songs. Like, who's the greatest Laker outta Magic, Kareen, Wilt, Kobe, and Shaq?

With that said, NY State of Mind is probably it.
