"No post about this Amp Fiddler x Boiler Room fireside Dilla chat? LINK"
some real gems in here.
I knew about SsenepoD but I did NOT know about Ghost Town. A collective of 3-4 groups from Detroit that were trying to be like Detroit's version of Wu-Tang Clan.
There are some demos here from a teen Jay Dee.
Some beats that Jay Dee played for Amp Fiddler. Amp says, these are dope - whats your equipment set up like?
Jay Dee tells him a cassette deck... smh.
Some what sound like stems maybe? from Welcome to Detroit.
Dilla gave Amp a bunch of zip drives with 100s of sounds, samples, songs.
Said here you go bro - do whatever you want this stuff for looking out for me and hooking me up early on.
This is the first time some of the stuff is being heard? That's what I'm getting from this podcast.
It's main focus is about Welcome to Detroit (BBC)
it's an enjoyable listen if a fan of history of Jay Dee.
quick gem: Amp goes to lollapalooza in detroit tells Tip and Ali yo you need to check out my man Jay Dee. (this part of Jay Dee history is known.)
The 2nd half of the story I hadn't heard... lol.. check this...
Tip and Ali said yo, you need to check out our guy D'Angelo.
Listening to that made me search and re-read ?uest's post back in dec 05 when donuts leaked. Funny ass thread seeing Quest defend the genius of Dilla to some of your favorite OKPs

It was cool hearing him talk about Dilla as a kid and the person he became in relation to that. Gotta respect what dilla was doing on the boards. Good stuff.
