The song is about David Crosby going out to ride a boat. This is one of my favorite CSN (and sometimes Y) songs and years ago, I sampled this song for a track done and released by rapper SMI. There are a number of versions of "The Lee Shore" but this version from 1977 is my favorite, due to the parts of the song at the 3:23 and 3:27 marks, which I looped along with other parts of the song.
Why: I'm not really sure what he's promoting, but his whole career has been about making huge movies that make people say "damn damn damn james." maybe not literally. but you get it.
