George Lopez El Chicano's "Viva Tirado" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fai-fjwslDE REASON: One of my favorite songs as a kid, as my dad loved groups like El Chicano, Malo and War and I remember listening to the VIVA TIRADO album a lot when I was 3 and 4. The song is of course the sample source in Kid Frost's "La Raza" and I feel it would be honorable for Lopez to get this song played for him. Take it back to 1970.

You may also know Teddy Pendergrass' version but this came before that, which I bought simply for the strings at the 0:45 mark. The song is a bit like Isaac Hayes' "Theme From Shaft" in that it takes awhile for Mathis to sing so you'll want to go to the 2:53 before the song finally "begins".
