That is on my bucket list of concerts. What was the show like? What year did you go? What was the audience like?

It was cool. Very mixed crowd. A lot of things happening around us.

You're such pests...now, what is it you want? In your depths of your ignorance, what is it you want? Well, whatever it is you want, I can't deliver because I just don't see it. - Orson Welles

the theatrics were incredible. she danced alot and was super sexy on stage...did all of the favorites. the venue was pretty big, and jammed packed. like mentioned above, a very mixed crowd...lots of whistling and yelling from guys in the audience lol. epic night.

It was a beautiful experience. Glad I made it happen. Her voice is like butter. The band was cooking too.

Very minimal. Nothing fancy. But she puts on a good show.

went with my mom and my brother since they are also big fans. it was an incredible show and i'm extremely glad i went. her performance skills are amazing, and her band is fantastic. definitely a bucket list experience - and if she ever decides to make new music and tour again (i think it's unlikely), i will be first in line to buy tickets.

2001 Lovers Live Tour at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA.

Really good show, she/the band sounded incredible. She looked amazing.

The crowd was cool.. a mixed group.. but overall very stylish and cosmopolitan.. sophisticated.

I believe India.Arie opened, but we were stuck in traffic and got there right before Sade went on.

As much as I love Sade and her music, I genuinely didn't expect to have one of the best concert experiences ever. It really is an amazing stage show - would love to see her again!

Definitely grab the opportunity if you can.

I was on the floor and everyone on the floor did line dances the whole night....

great scene to see 10+ different line dances to the same song...must be a NO thang

I'd see her anywhere but if I had a choice that would be at the top of the list. At least for US locations.

at that time, she was at the top of my bucket list

(currently Radiohead)

I don't like paying alot of $$$ for tix to anything, because my schedule tends to change last minute

and I'm not into arena peformances

I bit the bullet on both, and don't regret it at all

she killed.

most of the songs had full treatments; effects, dancers, costumes, etc...

I wasn't really sure what to expect going in

but every aspect was top notch

she sounded amazing, the band was on point, crowd was into it...

if she tours again, you should definitely go.

you can't understand it with an explanation

Digable Planets opened. This concert was flat-out sublime. Ish is from Seattle, but hadn't been back home as a performer since forming the group, so there were LOTS of family, former classmates (like myself), and other 206 well wishers there to support. "Cool Like Dat" was still super hot, and they brought a live upright bassist to perform it with them.
The interim between DP and Sade was fairly long (Sade didn't take the stage until sunset), but there were joints being passed around everywhere, the PA system was incredible, with a tape playing joints like the live version of "Summer Madness" and The Isley Brothers version of "Summer Breeze"
If you've never been to the Gorge Amphitheatre, it is truly one of the very best outdoor music venues in the United States, right up there with Red Rocks in Colorado. It's located in the tiny town of George, Washington, about two hours east of Seattle. As its name suggests, it sits up on a ridge with a commanding view of the Columbia River Gorge, and by the time Sade took the stage at sunset, everyone was primed. Just the perfect backdrop.
Sade took one look at that view and exclaimed to the audience that there was no way they could compete with it, but they would try their best. They were amazing. She looked a goddess up on that stage, all lit up in purple and blue and green. The band were consummate professionals, each one a master on his instrument. The whole vibe of the day and evening was just CHILLED, and not just because of what was being passed around. Easily in the top three greatest live shows I have ever attended.

at staples center..

it was pricey..but it was a great show...

the video effects with the screen in the background and the sheer thing that would hang down was really cool...different...

but her band was tight as always.... they added tony momrelle as a back up singer to her regular line up...

it was real cool...definitely worth it...

oh..and John Legend as the opening act was real cool.... he did a version of Parliaments I've been watching you that was pretty cold..

... I copped the blu ray of the Solider of Love tour and it doesn't pale in comparison to the live experience. Me and Wifey spoke about the concert for like a week straight. She says to this day that she never got why people go crazy for artists like the Beatles in their hey or cry and get emotional like at Michael Jackson concerts, after seeing Sade she understood.
