1. Houses of the Holy (1973) 2. Presence (1976) 3. (untitled 4th album) (1971) 4. Physical Graffiti (1975) 5. In Through the Out Door (1979) 6. Coda (1982)
I wouldn't include CODA as it is a comp so I would prefer to leave it out. Then again, PHYSICAL GRAFFITI is kinda scatterbrain too. At times, I would flip what I have as #4 and #5.
Originally I had the (untitled 4th album) in the #2 spot but as I was going through the songs, "Rock and Roll", "Stairway To Heaven", and "Going To California" are heavily played out. I'm sure some would say "Black Dog" is overplayed as well, but I love "Black Dog", as much as I love "Four Sticks", "When The Levee Breaks", and "The Battle Of Evermore", and "Misty Mountain Hop" is kind of the album's anchor for me. However, PRESENCE still holds up beautifully.
My picks are due to what I was raised with, my listening habits over the years and how I react to these songs. I realize the (untitled 4th album) is the Alpha & Omega for some people but it being overplayed always lead me to the other albums.
HOUSES OF THE HOLY is a much deeper album for me, and not just music so it will always be on the top of nt LZ list.
