Two of my favorite rappers working together for what I hope isn't the last time. A bit disappointed it's only 25 minutes but I'm sure I'll love it when I get a chance to listen.

I haven't listened to either yet, but Dark Comedy and Saal are in my top ten hip hop albums of the last few years so expectations are high.

Mike has become one of my favorite dudes doing it, but this is meh.

I think its Serengeti. I just can't get into this dude. And for some reason (even though Mike did the beats), this sounds like a Geti album that kinda features Mike.

And I don't think Serengeti is a very good rapper. I'm not all that impressed by creating characters and sh!t I guess. And even if someone thinks that is dope, not sure how they can cosign his rhymes.

Geti isn't a technical lyrical miracle guy, but he has the ability to drop either incredibly hilarious or heartbreaking little bombs within his rhymes. His verse on Pinky or wonder girl from Cavanaugh are a great example of this imo.

Not done digesting the album, this is just how
it hits me on the first few listens.

To be clear, I don't need lyrical miracle types,
I just can't recall hearing him say insightful
or deep stuff either.

On paper I should love this dude. A few of my
favorites count him as an influence.

I tried with Car and Family & Friends too.

Maybe I haven't heard the right tracks? Any
recommendations?

I appreciate it.

I think "I don't Know" sums up why Im not a fan.

1. I don't think he's funny. Definitely not as funny as he thinks he is.

2. I think Mike and Milo do this in a much better, more enjoyable, more relatable way. By far.

3. "Mable is so fine, Mable studies wine"..."and you care, all you eat for dinner is pears"....ummm, I think he spends too much time on concepts and characters versus rhymes, man.

Just my opinion though...not for me.
