He said the main reason he did the album is to get his name out in the press and give him a crack at sponsorship and/or show money. As someone who's heard the album, I'll say that it's likely an accurate statement.

He also said he's been out of the biz for 12 to 13 years. Didn't he drop that "Chilltown, NY" album in 2004? And he did that EPMD record in 2008?

Also, he skips over it when he talks about "getting out of the biz." He talks about seeing the music industry was dying in 2002.
