RIP to the legend!

September 16th 1970, Jimi Hendrix joined Eric Burdon on stage at Ronnie Scotts in London for what would become the guitarist’s last ever public appearance.

I started buying tapes and shit early in life but I was 11 or 12 when I first heard Jimi and it literally changed my life. He is still my favorite artist of all time. Dude was not of this world. He also deepened my appreciation of other artists, most notably Rahsaan Roland Kirk, whom he admired tremendously and now so do I. RIP to the greatest fucking rock star EVER.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

I've heard a few tracks here and there on the youtube machine. Never knew about the Hendrix obsession.....kinda makes sense. From the little I've heard....Kirk plays with a lot of eccentricity and inventiveness.
