I always forget to mention The Lost Tapes. It's basically a comp but dope as hell so I ride for 5 albums. God's Son is solid enough so I agree with the 6 you listed.

I didn't hate I Am like everyone else. I know the bootleg is much better but when the album dropped, I was rocking with it. The production was very 1999ish but I liked a lot of those beats for what they were. I don't know if my expectations were lowered or what but I enjoyed most of that album aside from a few joints.

I think I Am is definitely better than The Firm. The Firm had a few bangers but was an overall mess. I remember reading the liner notes as me and my boy walked back from the store. As soon as I saw Nas and AZ only on a few songs together I said, "this shit is gonna suck."

I have never, ever, ever, EVER understood the hate for Hip Hop is Dead. I think that album is EXCELLENT. As is typical with post-Illmatic Nas albums, it has its low points. But there are an awful lot of absolute GEMS on that album, IMO. Yet more people than not pan that album and I've never understood why.

Nothing to do with the title fam. Most of it has to do with boring production. He reused a sample that was done better on his previous album. His songs with Kelis are just as bad as Jay's with Beyonce. He has a beat from Chris Webber. A very wack beat at that. He ended the album with a 3min acapella that wasn't needed. The Jay collab didn't meet expectations and the Snoop guest spot sounded forced. He has 5 or 6 memorable cuts on there. One of my favorites being the song that most people hate.

Fair criticism (reusing a sample on back to back albums) but I like both songs. *shrugs*

They could've put out the equivalent of a "Life's a Bitch" with Jay-Z taking AZ's place and it wouldn't have "met expectations". Expectations were that they'd both literally spit gold out of their mouths, there was absolutely nothing they could've done that would've met people's expectations.
Anyway all that said, I still thought that song was really good.

Anyway I count far more than 5-6 but it's not worth listing them cause we simply don't agree. I wasn't necessarily looking to rehash the discussion about whether or not it's a good album. Just saying I never understood the hate for that album or why I'm in the minority.
