"did you view Al B Sure as important to New Jack Swing?"


          

watched his unsung
and he worked with teddy riley and had a impact on the style. however he was on some johnny mathis with a Car wash beat behind him. do you feel he was as important to New Jack swing as Keith sweat for example?

That album did NOT go gold because of Misunderstanding.
It went gold because of that epic A side of serious ballads.

The only person important to the new Jack swing was Teddy Riley. All the artist he produced were just his puppets.

He was just another kat who fell into the in-sound of the time and road with it, almost everybody was doing the New Jack Swing sound whether it was for a single, remix single, or an entire album.

It was so many people imitating Guy it became a shame at one point when you realize Teddy had his hand in everything from producing to having a team of his colleagues (such as Eddie F. & Gene Griffin) producing to meet the demand; I was a big fan of Chuckii Booker's writing and production.
