Sounds like he was taking care of himself and if you check his twitter he had/has a ton of projects in the pipeline that are presumably done. He was talented, hilarious, and one of the first MCs to use the internet to his advantage. I was HYPED for Jesus Price from all the stuff he was putting out and that album didn't disappoint. Looking forward to hearing the material but what a shame, 43 is so young...

Got to interact with him a few times, he was always a cool ass dude. He was hilarious too, he was rugged but was funny as hell all the time. I think this is the first time a rappers passed where it legit bummed me out. You always feel bad for them & the family, but this one sucks. RIP & condolences to his family & friends, especially his wife & kids.
Easily one of my favorite rappers, gone way too soon. Was really looking forward to another random axe. Rap needed more Sean P. So sad. Peace to his fam and loved ones.

This is the hardest rap death for me, personally. This one utterly sucks. The guy oozed life. He's also a better rapper than almost everybody, ever, even if he stayed in his lane mostly. His Ruck era is better than most people's shit let alone the second act.

I couldn't believe what I saw as soon as I logged on to bookface, cause I haven't been feeling well so, so I haven't been online since Friday and when I do the first thing I see is people saying R.I.P. Sean Price, I was like heeeeelllllzzzzz NO, I was sure it was a rumor but no it's true one of the illest emcees, Ruck one half of Heltah Skeltah, Dr. Kill Patient, and that infamous P! is gone, hip-hop will miss him a lot.
To me he was the best kat in Duck Down so to see him gone will hurt them in a lot of ways, anyway he was the one that always had ill lyrics with crazy metaphors & punchlines but kept it simple, and would clown and joke about a rapper right after; talent like this is hard to come by and rare, and Sean Price will be missed by all in the hip-hop community, by his family, and friends.

This shit hits super close. Chasing a Sean Price verse is part of the reason most of you even know about us. After Rawkus heard "Driving Down The Block" they didn't want to re-up our deal so we were just gonna drop an EP with a guest verse on every song called Class Participation. We locked in Phonte, Black Milk and were tryna get Sean Price.
That first convo with Dru lead to DD presenting a deal to put the project out. Shit is SO real Sean Price verse is actually written into our deal.. lol
One of my best memories is recording The Pledge in the B Room at baseline with P & Buckshot. Most of the time you meet your idols you end up disappointed but this shit was everything you could imagine and more. For me to have Ruck & Buck rapping over my beats!!!

PH too.... 40 year old "underground" rappers still pursuing their passion with the same level of intensity 20 years after they started. Sean had his second wind with his musical transition from Ruck to Sean Price. PH was instrumental in the resurgence of battle rap. These guys were resolved to rapping until the day they no longer had the desire to. There was no shame in being an older head in the game, there was no need to hide anything. As juvenile as the rap game can appear, they made you remember that rapping is an art, and should always be respected as such.
What Sean P. did with the words was just brilliant. We are gonna get one last batch of qoutables, and that's it. That's fucked up. I'm not even sure when I'll be ready to listen to his new mixtape. I haven't listened to any Sean Price since he passed, I can't handle it.
I was out of the country for a a few weeks and got back to NY and just heard the news. Very sad. Sean P was one of the few worth still caring about in recent memory.
