Around the 2:00 mark going forward, she catches the Holy (Nina) Ghost and starts tearing it up. Wowzers. Shout out to that band too...

Peace,

The Band sounded great. Not sure why, but my expectations on Lauren were not met. I think I was hoping for something I could talk about for a while, imagine whinehouse taking out this song. ..Lauren felt a bit lackluster to me.

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

She briefly loses the key and the keyboard player helps her out and she snatched that shit like Mr. Miyagi just saw a fly. She turned that into an interesting chromatic moment.

I also liked that she ended on a run, instead of hitting the big note again.

Her voice was a little hoarse, but the whole performance was just full of great vocal choices on her part. And as a singer, I appreciate that a lot more than a more stripped down, effortless take. She turned this into some high stakes shit and it payed off tremendously.
