"Erick Sermon/ Red & Meth on a Madlib beat"
Fri Jul-24-15 01:19 PM by fluicide

I'm 99% sure this is a Madlib beat from one of his beat tapes (62 beats, I think)

That project compared to there other beat albums Oh No has is the most cohesive IMO. It's begging for a project to be made from it.

Mef will never get old. He's just able to comfortably adapt to any
freaking beat and make it flow - doesn't hurt has one of the best
voices in hip hop as well.

I think there was also an issue about whether or not E Dub produced Jay's Reservoir Dogs

>Lol Oh No probably had to make some phone calls

There's no way E does it twice and they don't have a working relationship. Maybe E used the beats before getting the paperwork right, but, No had to handed him those beats at some point.

Now that I think about it, No's style is somewhat influenced by E's, with the scratch guitars and stuff.

Come to grips with the fact that most OKP's are of the Nut Hugger lineage, so, if you' re not part of the little cliques that exist 'round here, your posts will probably tank like Souljaboy's album sales.

Worst case scenario - E straight jacked him, didnt give him credit and is shady af. Which would be bonkers considering that Oh No put out that Clutch beat 5 years ago. ..

They must have some sort of understanding, because Stones Throw is notorious for combatting copyright infringement. I can't imagine that they would let shit slide..

Erick Sermon was on 'Ohnomite': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kt28RLPqnZk

Sermon even joked about the "Every Solider In The Hood" credit on the song:
E Dub and Ohnomite
Oh yeah, that Raekwon beat you did was tight

Perhaps the credit on Raekwon's album was a writing mistake, and Oh No has proper credit for "Clutch". It's hard to tell without an official release.

I think that he's put in the work and now he's seeing the dividends. The stuff him and Al are doing is really good and they even started incorporating live musicians, which really helped to refine their sound and take it in directions I never imagined for them.
