"How come Madlib doesn't produce more whole album for rappers?"

Madvillainy
Cocaine Pinata

I think he has a knack for this. Instead spending so much time on these esoteric releases, I'd like him to do more collaborations like those above. Maybe a Black Thought and Madlib collab album?

Schedules and cats who want a whole album but could afford it might play a part. Or lack of cats he'd mess with for a discount.

Like what rappers who had in mind he could work with and produce a whole album?

On the last mini-tour Madlib did he play brand new Bey mostly over the beats from the African Volume of the medicine show series (which makes perfect sense).

Also there's an album with Madlib, Blu & MED dropping in the fall.

oh word? I was just wondering if Madlib ever forgave Blu over pulling that stunt. That's great news.

don't sleep on In Search of Stoney Jackson though! even if you're not a fan of Strong Arm Steady, that album is like the new Fantastic Vol 2 to me...definitely Madlib's best collab album in my opinion.

There's a 5 or 6 track EP but not an "official" collab, if I remember correctly.

in that he just used some Madlib beats that weren't necessarily made for him...
but unlike with Blu, Madlib had surely given his blessing before the release

Might you have the name of the project?

Come to grips with the fact that most OKP's are of the Nut Hugger lineage, so, if you' re not part of the little cliques that exist 'round here, your posts will probably tank like Souljaboy's album sales.

He seems like a recluse. How would you even get a beat tape of his? He sure as hell isn't throwing them up on instagram. You kinda have to go out of your way to get his beats, and the barrier to entry to with him is probably greater than a lot of other people.
