In the past, all Beach House songs have sounded the same. That's okay, because it's a really great song.

But they've finally switched it up a bit with this one, MBV all over it.

this doesn't really move me one way or the other

sounds like they made her vocals lighter

where the progression seemed to get heavier and darker

from teen dream to bloom

they led with myth for bloom's release

and the rest of that album was a bit darker and heavier than that lead

so I'll wait for the album before thinking they're switching the sound

especially considering it's called depression cherry
