Royce 5'9 recently snuck into my top 5 because of the Prhyme album. He was previously at the top of the very next tier but that album put him over the hump for me.

That album came at just the right time for me, too. I was getting kinda bored with MCing because no one had really done anything interesting IMO for a little while, with a few exceptions, so I had been listening to a lot of jazz and funk and other stuff for most of the latter half of 2014. Then that album dropped and I was like, OK it's Royce I have to check it. And I was just so amazed by what he (and they, can't forget Primo and Younge's work) did on that joint. And I'm so glad it came out when it did because there's been a lot of really good hip-hop to drop in 2015, which I may have missed had Prhyme not brought me back into hip-hop mode.

First I had no females on my list then I went over 30, so I cut it down, then I started switching people out. this is not as easy as it seemed, leaving out a ton of people.
