The song is about a bullfighter who had some connections in Tucson, and I partly chose "Viva Tirado" because of the Tucson connection that is a art of the movie SICARIO. I was looking for a specific song that had to deal with "crossing borders", going over the border or "jumping the border" for a reason, thus I picked this because of the connection "Viva Tirado" has amongst Mexicans in the Southwest. On top of that, VIVA TIRADO was a childhood favorite and was one of my dad's favorite albums.
