Makes you feel as if you're right on the scene and he doesn't sound like a biter old head as he's talking either. Also doesn't feel as if Red Alert has a huge ego despite how major a figure he is.
Red Alert mentioned that someone gave him advice to embrace and not fear change, which could be key in why he seems so at ease on this interview. Pretty remarkable given the music has changed so drastically and how radio have changed even more drastically as well. He doesn't sound bitter or overly cynical about matters, when if I were in his shoes, I probably would be to be completely honest.

He'd have given the details on how he whooped Shan's ass for disrespecting. Older guys like him LOVE to tell the story (no pun intended) of how they beat the hell out of people, so that tells you what kind of man he is. He's my favorite radio DJ. He still gets BUSY. I've seen him recently spinning with Flex and Flex really REALLY has a ton of respect for RED. He pays a ton of homage to him.
