Transient Random Noise Bursts With Announcements
Switched On Vol. 2
Emperor Tomato Ketchup

Dots and Loops is very good, but I feel those three are more vintage Groop sounding.

depends on the mood you are going for

Dots and Loop is the most obvious choice

but, lets say that never existed
then I would go with...

Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night/First of the microbe hunters (its a tie really)
Sound-Dust
Fab Four Suture

I like all of their work but I'm more mid-late career over the super early stuff....the super early stuff is REALLY GOOD you just cant drop into it, you have to listen to like, a few records of the time AND THEN drop into that stuff otherwise its not immediately rewarding and you kinda go "is this it? something is going to happen right?"

of the early stuff then I would go

Emperor Tomato Ketchup
Mars Audiac Quintet
Transient Random-Noise Bursts with Announcements

Stereolab is my favorite group ever, hands down. Those three are the best I think, and a nice mix of just about all the sounds they go through in their career imo.

I would also check out Monade if you like stereolab, it's a group with laeticia sadier

that disc 1 is probably the thing of theirs i go back to the most (more than D&L or ETK--those are good for the other 2 though)
