I dig the echoed chimes goin from loop end and overlappin to set the starter hit for the verse part!
I like how your joints always type breezy, both mix and vibewise, lots of mid his and air, prevents shit from gettin muddy and secures everythin comes thru with the crispness!!!

21. "Broke The Breaks" In response to Reply # 0 Wed Jun-24-15 12:02 PM by Dj Joey Joe
Was working on this the beginning of June but the heat got bad that I couldn't work on any music for two weeks but this past weekend I got to go do my regular things and working on beats was one of them.
Since we had to use classic breaks I went to my Ultimate Breaks & Beats collection and chose songs to sample from, I started out with over ten samples but ended up deleting a few cause I went overboard but I stuck with these six: (1)"Long Red (Live)" for kicks, claps, & shouts; (2)Gary Numan's "Films" for looped drum roll & efx; (3)Funk Inc. "Kool Is Back" for horns; (4)Barrabas "Woman" for bassline; (5)ESG's "UFO" for it's classic sound effect; & (6)sampled Pleasure's "Joyous" breakdown.
--------- "We in here talking about later career Prince records & your fool ass is cruising around in a time machine trying to collect props for a couple of sociopathic degenerates" - s.blak
this feels like a journey in breaks – its strange, cause nearly all the elements are known to my ear, I just never heard em combined like this, a beautiful puzzle!
Got that mosaic feel, mix is real nice, so even tho some of the elements are very different from eachother melodically, it dont matter - you did a SOLID job levellin, stitchin and gluein!!!
Drums has real thickness, and the underlyin synth provides some welcomed darkness...
