Aight, I tend to like less direct treatments of feelings in songs
I feel like the best depression rapper ever is MF Doom, for example, which is interesting because he almost never talks emotively about his feelings; everything is a buried under a mask (literally), which is how I deal with feelings in general
This is why, as much as I like TPAB, it's not my cup of tea. Too much yelling at the listener, telling me about how hard you have it
Lupe does the same on T&Y, but he layers it, more my style

If you heard 'Mural' and didn't immediately think it's one of the better songs you've heard in a decade, I'm not sure what to tell you.
Production is a taste thing...I liked the production on this album
