I'm not the biggest fan of his to begin with. I think some of the beats are almost too mellow, to the point of sounding generic. "Life I Chose" is a keeper, though.

I've been saying that the next quotable he spits will be the first for a decade.
That was cool with me for free material during leaner rap years but in this current environment, I'm not really clamoring to work this into the rotation.

But even C grade lyricists like Nore made themselves B level rappers but having an imagination and working hard to create new lines, phrases, personalities, etc
Curren's problem is that his branding was so good before that it created a formula
And that formula didn't call for him to be particularly interesting or good at rapping
And he's not
There is nothing there.
No personality. No wit. Zero. Dude is legitimately bad at rapping.
It's pretty sad, actually
This might be the most boring project I was looking forward to in a long time
I really wanted him to get me to give him that 100 bucks...I would have paid it, given all the free music (most of which really hasn't been that great, but still)

I really like what I hear. has the consistency of PTI that I thought PTII lacked, plus there's some new wrinkles of introspection like the "Intro" where he drops the façade for a moment to admit it was a real hard road to get where he is and stay there.
