Honest question. I'm pushing an 08 myself with cd player and aux port, but it's never occurred to me that a cd player is an odd thing some people don't have at all including in their vehicles? __ I don't like the beat anymore because its just a loop. ALC didn't FLIP IT ENOUGH!

which currently contains 'Black Messiah' in it.
Don't let these youngins try to make you feel silly, it's still okay to buy physical copies of music.
Kendrick is actually driving all over LA tonight signing/giving away physical copies of his album right now.
Of course, I copped the iTunes pre-order for that on March 6th out of thirst, had it uploaded during the March 16th Sunday snafu and right now I'm far too lazy to get in a car to drive five miles just to meet the throng up on Melrose to cop a CD version from the dude himself but I'd like to think that has to do more with my lack of interest in star-chasing than becoming some kind of digital droid.

new cars definitely still have CD players in them, but among the working poor mid-20s people I know a cassette deck that'll accept a $20 iPod-to-cassette adapter is a way more attractive scenario than a new deck and speakers, assuming the deck currently in the car is stock and has no AUX port. I've known people to make their purchase decision in part because one 1998 car had a cassette deck and the other didn't.

I was on vacation and traveling the past 2 weeks and one of the rental cars I had was a Kia Soul 2015 and it did NOT have a cd player. It had USB, aux port, blue tooth, and of course radio but my specific car did not have a cd player.
I didn't mind that much since I did have my phone, tablet, and iPod with me along with a small rotation of cd's, but I had to pull over and eye-ball the console real hard to make sure a cd slot wasn't hidden somewhere haha.

Was more of a joke than anything..... but yea.. I can't see myself carrying a CD booklet in a damn car when I can just open Spotify and plug in an aux

they still sell it digitally, still sell a CD-R version... legally there's no distinction there, I don't think. Plus the clearance issues didn't stop Nature Sounds from doing multiple pressings of KRIT's mixtapes.
Kendrick Lamar is a musical thief who blatantly ripped off another song to create his hit, "Rigamortis" ... at least according to two musicians who are suing him for at least $1 million.
Eric Reed and Willie Jones III claim they came up with a song called "The Thorn" in 2010 that features an infectious rhythm and commanding horns ... the very same music heard in Lamar's "Rigamortis."
In their lawsuit ... they say Lamar took their music, and simply added his own lyrics. They say "The Thorn" isn't merely part of "Rigamortis" ... IT IS "Rigamortis."
Reed and Jones say even though "Rigamortis" basically made Lamar a star ... he never gave them a dime or even credit for the music.
They're now suing Lamar for at least a mil, plus all 'Rigamortis' profits and rights to the song.

it's funny because that's Kendrick's "rappin' ass rappin" album (a very high-class one mind you), people often complain that he doesn't do enough of that on his recent records... I don't think they've listened to it.
and all of the things that make him such a compelling listen are there

I'll say this again...
TPAB makes so much more sense as a continuation of the Kendrick on Section.80. Almost feels like GKMC was the anomaly

This album seems is all Hiiipower. On GKMC I wondered did he forget about the whole Hiiipower movement? GKMC was important to lock in his position in the game on a major scale but now he's back to business.
