...I've been out for the count for the past two weeks with an ear infection and I can't even hear out of my left ear (my good ear when listening close to music), and last week when I tried to work on some beats they just didn't sound right in one ear; but when I do get some sound back I'll be in for sure.

Hope you get rid of that soon, your could def. flip somathese challenges brutally!
And yup, Im a crative ass mofo lol - on the real, I thought real hard about how to change it up for 15, make every lil round diff from the other, and REALLY challenge yall plus have some fun in the process... Now all we need is players hah!!!

I really haven't been able to put much time into making beats lately. With work and family, lack of sleep, plus we're planning a move back to the U.S., having time to make music at home hasn't really been an option.
I definitely need to get back on the wagon though. I've been writing but I really need to at least look for samples on the records I have before I have to leave them behind. Do a little chopping and not let myself get so rusty all the time.
Thanks for keeping these up though. I'll be participating in some down the line for sure.

>I can see how that leaves lil to no time for beats... Hope it >goes well for yall! > >Plus I know you work doubletime when in the studio compared to >mos of us, bein on the mic as well... > >When you get the time and energy, get back at us man!!! > >
I sent out some resumes this weekend so I feel better.
Yeah, I definitely wish I could focus on one exclusively. I think I'll try to do both for a couple more years and then eventually just focus on the production side. I keep it pretty separate though. I try to do all of my writing away from "the studio" with my iPhone now, when I'm out, at work, or Tupac-style in the bathroom in the morning.
I think I need to double up some production duties outside of the house and start doing some chopping at work, don't tell anybody. (I've got Cubase on my work laptop now
Yeah, I'll participate on some of these for sure. I've got an idea for a challenge. We could all fish out an unfinished beat from years ago that has potential but was never quite realized. We could post the stems, like the drums, the sample or the loops, and let another producer remix them.
I know a lot of producers trash the beats that don't make the grade but I've got a lot that I always planned to go back to and re-chop and re-mix, add new drums or whatnot. It might be fun to hear what another producer could make with them.

Whats your field?
I can follow the take-time-out-whenever-its-there mentality, I do all my writin on the bus or train, and still more and more beatsketches at work – Ive got studio duties tied to my job, so it feels aight lol...
Thats a great idea for a round btw, Ima make room for that soon...
