like Deltron, or any of his other albums for that matter. Personally all his B-sides and unreleased from the "I Wish/No Need" era are good enough to compile a dope album out of.
Eye Examination (two of my favorite verses of all time) Burnt Nowadays Wrongplace remix (the version where he raps like Casual) Pistol Whippers Captain America The Doctor Is In Neighborhood Undisputed Champs The Ill Shit Crazy Del Song/Beyond The Cloak of Darkness What Do You Say? Untitled Del Song

This was when Hieroglyphics was at their apex. I'm shocked you feel this way. I'm afraid to ask for an example of a dreadful beat on this album.

Just kidding. Maybe it's an age thing? "Catch A Bad One", You're In Shambles", "Wrongplace" & "No More Worries" are all great beats imo.

...however, I must admit that the production on the prime-era Hiero albums never really did it for me either. I don't know why because they sampled pretty much the same era of fusion/jazz/soul/whatever that the classic east-coast producers did at the same time and were not necessarily worse at flipping the samples but for some reason, it just don't knock like the best Hip-Hop using similar sound-aesthetics did in the same era.
But of course, the production is still MUCH better than most things Kool Keith been involved with in the past, um, "many" years, LOL!

Del is best when he actually rhymes about topics and concepts. No need for alarm had some good cuts, but the funk was missing. But I get that that was hiero's sound at that point.
I wish is damn near perfect and Deltron was incredible.

>Is it because his other albums were just so good? or yall >actually have complaints about this album?
the singles, I actually had my girl at the time buy me the album as a gift. I only ended up really liking like 3-4 of the 10-11 songs I hadn't heard already. Didn't care much for the production, plus the songs seemed too long.
