"Earth, Wind & Fire's THAT'S THE WAY OF THE WORLD... 40 years later"

March 14, 1975. Friday. It was the day Earth, Wind & Fire released their 6th album, their fourth for Columbia Records. Little did they know how huge this album would become for them, but then again, listening to it perhaps made them create it, alongside producer Charles Stepney, in the way they did. I wrote about it in my new installment of "Dust It Off". Have a look, why don't cha?

Not a dubbed tape - the actual record company/record store bought tape.

nobody remembers the movie though the dvd commentary was funny.

before MJ and Quincy or James Anthony carmichael and the commodores and solo with Lionel RIchie

Charles Stephney and Maurice White and Earth wind and Fire had the winning formula.

reasons alone is a R&B staple.

shinning star classic,

all about love beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and if there ain't no beauty you gotta make some beauty lawd have mercy.

dug the live album for the album though gratitude surpassed it.

however they were on a roll and this album changed there fortunes forever and i love this album til this day,

Props Book for bringing this thread.

when that album came out it was the FIRST album that i, as a young kid in 'i cant remember what' grade, (but if i do my math right i musta been maybe 8ish years old maybe?)...but THAT was the first record of my parents that i actively took on my own, put it on the record player, slapped on the headphones and sat there and listened to it alone, all the way through...over and over...safe to say that that album there was probably the one mostly responsible for 'waking me up and pulling me in' to true 'music love'.

...everything about it seemed magical yet real and grounded. the themes, the feelings, the melodies, the musicianship, the production, the craftsmanship...

that one stands the test of time
oh yeah, it shall be played today on my ipod at work for sure, so thanks for the 'dust it off' reminder mr Book.
